A dicussion panael was held on Thursday , September\u00a0 28th , 2023,\u00a0 for a master thesis entitled
\n” Effect of adding luteolin and apigenin nanoparticles on the antibacterial and mechanical properties of orthodontic adhesive\u201d
\nThe thesis submitted by the student (Huda Yilmaz Wahab Elias) aimed to evaluate the effect of adding some organic nanoparticles (luteolin and apigenin) at two different concentrations (1% and 3%) on the mechanical properties and to determine the effectiveness of the antimicrobial agent for the orthodontic adhesive against Streptococcus mutans bacteria and bacteria.\u00a0 Lactobacillus acidophilus by double disk diffusion test technique.\u00a0 The results showed that adding both luteolin and apigenin nanoparticles to the orthodontic adhesive produced an antibacterial effect against Streptococcus mutans and Lactobacillus acidophilus bacteria without affecting the tensile strength of the orthodontic adhesive.
