A dicussion panael was held on Thursday, April 25, 2024,\u00a0 for a doctoral thesis entitled
\n” (Biological response of nano-bone substitutes (silver\/beta-tricalcium phosphate nanocomposite) reinforced with platelet-enriched injectable fibrin. (Pilot study on dogs)\u201d.
\nThe thesis submitted by the student (Alia Ismail Nasser) dealt with, in its practical aspect, the manufacture of nano-bone substitutes locally that help in bone healing.
\nThe study aimed to evaluate the biological activity of the nano-composite manufactured locally on microstructure of bone healing alone or combined with platelet-rich injectable fibrin in surgically created bone defects in the canine mandible as assessed by biochemical, radiological, histological and immunohistochemical examinations.\u00a0 In addition to evaluating the antibacterial effect of the locally manufactured beta-tricalcium phosphate nanocomposite decorated with silver nanoparticles.
