Under the patronage of the esteemed President of the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Waheed Mahmood Al-Ibrahimi, the Iraqi National Security Service organized an awareness lecture on Monday, July 14, 2025, at the College of Dentistry \/ University of Mosul. The event addressed the topic of financial fraud targeting electronic payment cards, as part of the national campaign titled “Your Card\u2026 Your Safety.”<\/p>\n
The session was attended by the Dean of the College, Asst. Prof. Dr. Neam Riyadh Saleem, the Associate Deans for Scientific and Administrative Affairs, and a number of college staff members.<\/p>\n
The lecture included a detailed explanation of the types of credit and payment cards, common methods of electronic fraud targeting such cards, and best practices to prevent these crimes. It also provided important guidance on safeguarding financial data and avoiding scams and cyber-attacks.<\/p>\n
The session emphasized the critical importance of continuous awareness and the promotion of security culture among citizens and employees across all sectors.<\/p>\n
This lecture represents a significant step in support of Goal 16 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which promotes peace, justice, and strong institutions.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
