As part of the Faculty of Dentistry\u2019s initiatives in the field of voluntary work, the Volunteer Work Unit \/ Student Activities Division, in cooperation with the Scientific Affairs Unit and the Sustainable Development Committee, organized a field visit to the State Home for Child Care. The visit took place on Wednesday, 3 December 2025, with the participation and support of a group of the College\u2019s faculty members, staff, and students.<\/p>\n
The visit aimed to enhance health awareness among children. The team delivered a simplified lecture covering the fundamentals of oral and dental health care, emphasizing the importance of instilling these practices at an early age to ensure healthy growth and development, and to empower a conscious generation capable of shaping a better future.<\/p>\n
The medical team, accompanied by college students, also conducted a series of preliminary examinations for the children, which included assessing oral and dental health as well as several general health indicators, along with providing essential medical advice for cases requiring follow-up care. The students demonstrated notable initiative, responsibility, and positive engagement with the children, reflecting the level of training and preparation the College prioritizes in developing its future professionals.<\/p>\n
The visit was warmly welcomed and highly appreciated by the Home\u2019s administration, which acknowledged the College\u2019s efforts and its role in supporting this important segment of society, affirming the need to continue such activities that strengthen partnerships between educational institutions and the local community.<\/p>\n
These visits represent an essential part of the Faculty of Dentistry\u2019s mission to build trust with the community, encourage students to engage actively in humanitarian work, and reinforce values of giving and responsibility. Fieldwork remains the cornerstone upon which a dentist\u2019s skill and distinction are built.<\/p>\n
