On Thursday, 15 January 2026, the master\u2019s thesis defense was held at the Department of Conservative Dentistry, College of Dentistry, University of Mosul, for the thesis entitled:
\n\u201cEvaluating the Pushout Bond Strength of Glass fiber post and Zirconium Post using various Luting agents.\u201d
\nThe thesis, submitted by the student (Janna Mahdi Mohammed), investigated the shear bond strength between intracanal posts and the walls of the root canal. The study assessed the ability of the post to resist dislodgement from root dentin when an axially directed force was applied. This test is considered one of the most widely used methods for evaluating bonding quality in endodontically treated teeth.
\nThe results demonstrated that the bond strength was significantly affected by the type of cement, the type of post, and the root region, with superior performance observed for bulk-fill resin cement and fiber glass posts, particularly in the cervical third of the root.
\nThe examination committee was chaired by Professor Dr. Raghad Adnan Rashed, with the membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Sawsan Hamid Ahmed and Assistant Professor Dr. Najwan Fadil Shehab, and under the supervision and membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Maha Anwar Hussein.
\nThe thesis was approved after the required revisions were made.
