Within the framework of reinforcing Quranic and humanitarian values in the university environment, the University Psychological Counseling Unit, in cooperation with the Media and Government Communication Unit at the College of Dentistry \u2013 University of Mosul, held an awareness lecture on the occasion of the National Day of the Holy Quran, which falls on the twenty-seventh of Rajab each year.
\nThe awareness event included a lecture delivered by Professor Dr. Mohammed Salih Al-Jubouri, in which he shed light on the significance of this blessed occasion, explaining that on this day the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was sent with the Islamic message to all humankind\u2014as a caller to God, a bearer of glad tidings, a warner, and a radiant guiding light\u2014and as a confirmer of the divine scriptures revealed before it, such as the Torah and the Gospel. He also emphasized that the Holy Quran was revealed to serve as a complete way of life, instilling the values of goodness, blessing, mercy, and tolerance among all people.
\nThe lecturer further indicated that commemorating the National Day of the Holy Quran represents an important milestone for consolidating the principles of knowledge, reflection, contemplation, understanding, and peace, which Islam has brought to the entire world.
\nThe lecture was attended by the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Assistant Professor Dr. Neam Riyadh Saleem, along with a number of faculty members and students at the College, reaffirming the College\u2019s support for awareness-raising activities aimed at consolidating religious and cultural values within the academic environment.
\nThis awareness lecture, organized by the College of Dentistry at the University of Mosul, represents a significant embodiment of integrating spiritual values with modern developmental objectives. An analysis of the content of the event shows that it intersects, both directly and indirectly, with several of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
