In fulfillment of the fourth goal of the Sustainable Development Goals (quality education), a master’s thesis entitled “The Effect of Using the Fielder and Silverman Model on Biology Achievement and the Development of Critical Thinking among Second-Year Intermediate Female Students” was discussed in the College of Education for Pure Science at the University of Mosul on Tuesday, July 1, 2025.

The study, presented by the student (Rasha Muhammad Shaker) from the Department of Biology, dealt with the effect of using the Fielder and Silverman model in achieving biology and developing critical thinking among second-grade female students. The researcher adopted the experimental design with partial control of the two equivalent groups, which includes two groups: the experimental and the control. According to this design, the researcher intentionally selected the research sample from the students of (Al-Tariq Al-Mudi’ Intermediate School, second intermediate grade in the city of Mosul). The research sample consisted of (60) female students. The random selection fell on Section (1), consisting of (36) female students, to represent the experimental group, and Section (B), consisting of (27) female students, to represent the control group. The researcher began applying the experiment in the first semester of the academic year (2024-2025). The researcher taught the two research groups on (9/25/2024) and continued until (2024/12/22).
