A master’s thesis entitled “The Effect of a Proposed Strategy Based on VARK Learning Styles on the Academic Achievement of Fourth-Year Science female Students in Biology and the Development of Their Coordinative Thinking” was discussed at the College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Mosul on Tuesday, May 6, 2025.
\nPart of the thesis discussion was attended by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Jassim Fatehi\u00a0Ali, the Dean of the College of Basic Education, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Younis Saleh Al-Juraisi, the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Yasser Yahya Qasim, the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Younis Saadi Saeed, and a number of the department faculty members.
\nThe study, submitted by Shimal Qasim Muhammad Al-Dulaimi, a student from the Department Biology, examined the impact of a proposed educational strategy based on VARK learning styles on biology achievement and the development of collaborative thinking among the fourth-year science female students. The researcher used an experimental design that included two groups: an experimental group of (35 students) who studied according to the proposed strategy, and a control group of (38 students) who studied using the traditional method.
\nThe results showed that the experimental group outperformed in both tests, demonstrating the strategy’s effectiveness. The researcher recommended incorporating this strategy into the biology teachers training.
\nThe discussion committee was chaired by Professor Abdul Razzaq Yassin Abdullah, with Assistant Professor Dr. Maarib Muhammad Ahmad and Assistant Professor Dr. Asim Ahmad Khalil as members, and Assistant Professor Dr. Ziyad Badr Hamad and Professor Dr. Jamila Hazza Rashid as both members and supervisors.
\nThe master’s thesis was accepted. Congratulations to the student and her supervisors on this scientific achievement.<\/p>\n
