University of Mosul Hosts the Second International Scientific Conference on Geographical Technologies and Sustainable Development<\/strong><\/p>\n

Under the patronage of Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi<\/strong>, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi<\/strong>, President of the University of Mosul, the College of Education for Humanities<\/strong> organized the Second International Scientific Conference on “Geographical Technologies and Sustainable Development”<\/strong> on February 25-26, 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The conference was inaugurated in the presence of Prof. Dr. Munir Salem Taha<\/strong>, Vice President of the University for Scientific Affairs, along with distinguished academics and researchers from Iraq and abroad.<\/p>\n

The event aimed to highlight the role of geographical technologies in achieving sustainable development<\/strong>, showcasing the latest research and applications in urban planning and environmental sustainability<\/strong>. Discussions focused on utilizing Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and remote sensing<\/strong> to address environmental and developmental challenges, emphasizing the integration of scientific research with practical applications<\/strong> for sustainable progress.<\/p>\n
