Since its inception, the department has worked to provide a distinguished educational environment aimed at developing the academic, technical, and intellectual skills of students in this vital discipline.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Specializations and Fields of Study:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The specialization in Department\u00a0 of Computer Engineering includes the study of the following topics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Computer circuit design.<\/li>\n<li>Computer architecture and processors.<\/li>\n<li>Circuits required to connect the computer to its external peripherals.<\/li>\n<li>Software development for operating external peripherals.<\/li>\n<li>Computer networks and computer security.<\/li>\n<li>Computer-based control systems.<\/li>\n<li>Digital signal processing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Graduate Studies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Master&#8217;s program in the department began in the academic year <strong>1996\u20131997<\/strong>, while the Ph.D. program was launched in <strong>2001<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Number of graduates: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Number of undergraduate graduates: approximately 1,000 graduates.<\/li>\n<li>Number of graduate graduates: approximately 100 graduates, including holders of Master&#8217;s and Ph.D. degrees.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Faculty Staff:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The department currently includes <strong>56 members<\/strong>, consisting of faculty members, technical staff, and employees.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Specialized Laboratories:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Department of Computer Engineering has a number of specialized laboratories in the following fields:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Microprocessor Laboratory<\/li>\n<li>Electrical Circuit Analysis Laboratory<\/li>\n<li>Digital Systems Principles Laboratory<\/li>\n<li>Computer Laboratory<\/li>\n<li>Analog Electronics Laboratory<\/li>\n<li>Object-Oriented Programming Laboratory<\/li>\n<li>Data Structures Laboratory<\/li>\n<li>Programmable Logic Design Laboratory using HDL<\/li>\n<li>Computer Interfacing Laboratory<\/li>\n<li>Embedded Systems Laboratory<\/li>\n<li>Digital Control Laboratory<\/li>\n<li>Computer Networks Laboratory<\/li>\n<li>Real-Time Systems Laboratory<\/li>\n<li>Operating Systems Laboratory<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Graduate Programs<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Master\u2019s Degree Program:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The duration of the Master\u2019s program is <strong>two calendar years<\/strong>, consisting of two semesters to complete <strong>26 credit hours<\/strong>, in addition to <strong>10 credit hours<\/strong> for the research year requirements.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Graduate Program Courses<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Master\u2019s Program \u2013 First Semester<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>English language<\/li>\n<li>Advanced computer networks<\/li>\n<li>Wireless Network<\/li>\n<li>3D Computer Graphics<\/li>\n<li>Artificial Intelligence<\/li>\n<li>Advanced Microprocessor<\/li>\n<li>Methodology of Scientific Research<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Master\u2019s Program \u2013 Second Semester<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Programmable Logic Devices<\/li>\n<li>Advanced real time systems<\/li>\n<li>Distributed System<\/li>\n<li>Advanced Computer Architecture<\/li>\n<li>Advanced Image Processing<\/li>\n<li>Network Security<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>D. Program:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The duration of the Ph.D. program is <strong>three years<\/strong>, which includes completing two semesters to earn <strong>22 credit hours<\/strong>, passing the comprehensive exam, in addition to <strong>38 credit hours<\/strong> for the research year requirements.
