Within the continuous scientific activities of the faculty members of Department of Electrical Engineering \/ College of Engineering \/ University of Mosul, Assist. Prof. Dr. Saad Ahmed Ayoob and Assist. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Tariq Yaseen \/ Head of Department of Electrical Engineering published a research on 6\/10\/2023 entitled “Raman\/EDFA Hybrid System to Enhance the Optical Signal in the Optical Network” In (Journal of Communications; Scopus; cite score 2.5; Q3).
\nThe research examined a hybrid optical signal amplification system that combines Raman dispersion with an erbium-saturated fiber amplifier (EDFA) to enhance the optical signal in the University of Mosul’s fiber optic network connecting the first and third campuses. The system effectively increases the output signal power level, maintaining a high signal-to-noise ratio.<\/p>\n
