Within the scientific activities of the faculty members of Department of Architecture Engineering \/ College of Engineering \/ University of Mosul, Assist. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abdulwahid Dhanoon, and the lecturer, Dr. Oday Abdulqader Alchalabi published a research entitled \u201cTHE DAZZLING IN ISLAMIC ARCHITECTURE\u201d on Thursday, June 20, 2024 in (Journal of Islamic Architecture).<\/p>\n

The research dealt with the topic of dazzlement in Islamic architecture. The study presented a new procedural definition of the concept of dazzlement in Islamic architecture, which was later adopted to build a theoretical framework that aimed to isolate specific vocabulary for the characteristics of dazzling Islamic architectural production. This framework was then applied in a practical analytical study on a group of Islamic architecture buildings. Using quantitative and qualitative research methods, the study identified a set of characteristics most used in achieving dazzlement in Islamic architecture.<\/p>\n
