Prof. Dr. Omar Mohammed Hamdoon<\/strong>, Dean of College of Engineering, and <strong data-start=\"681\" data-end=\"719\">Asst. Prof. Dr. Ayman Talib Hameed<\/strong>, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"761\" data-end=\"1100\">The thesis focused on a <strong data-start=\"785\" data-end=\"823\">theoretical and numerical analysis<\/strong> of the influence of <strong data-start=\"844\" data-end=\"880\">centrifugal and thermal stresses<\/strong> on gas turbine blades at the Mosul Power Plant, utilizing <strong data-start=\"939\" data-end=\"953\">ANSYS 2024<\/strong> software. A realistic model of the blade was constructed, and its behavior was analyzed at various rotational speeds (5100, 7000, and 9000 RPM).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1102\" data-end=\"1527\">The results demonstrated that <strong data-start=\"1132\" data-end=\"1209\">centrifugal forces had the most significant impact on stress distribution<\/strong>, particularly at the <strong data-start=\"1231\" data-end=\"1245\">blade root<\/strong>. It was also shown that <strong data-start=\"1270\" data-end=\"1320\">deformations and equivalent stresses increased<\/strong> as the rotational speed increased. The study indicated that <strong data-start=\"1381\" data-end=\"1420\">thermal stresses further contribute<\/strong> to the overall loading on the blade; however, at 5100 RPM, the blade remains within the <strong data-start=\"1509\" data-end=\"1526\">elastic range<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1529\" data-end=\"1864\">The thesis concluded that <strong data-start=\"1555\" data-end=\"1631\">higher speeds lead to a substantial increase in deformation and stresses<\/strong>, reducing the safety factor and increasing the risk of failure.
