{"id":41238,"date":"2025-09-25T20:18:24","date_gmt":"2025-09-25T20:18:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uomosul.edu.iq\/en\/engineering\/?p=41238"},"modified":"2025-09-25T20:44:07","modified_gmt":"2025-09-25T20:44:07","slug":"41238","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uomosul.edu.iq\/en\/engineering\/2025\/09\/25\/41238\/","title":{"rendered":"Master thesis in Department of Electrical Engineering on &#8221; Design and Analysis of Electrical Drive System for Brushless DC Motors in Lightweight Electric Vehicles&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Master thesis was discussed in Department of Electrical Engineering \/ College of Engineering at\u00a0 University of Mosul entitled \u201cDesign and Analysis of Electrical Drive System for Brushless DC Motors in Lightweight Electric Vehicles\u201d, submitted by (Mohammed Turki Baidar), Supervised By Prof. Dr. On Thursday, September, 25, 2025.<br \/>\nThe thesis presented by, \u201cMohammed Turki Baidar\u201d , aimed to \u201cStatement of the importance of hybrid energy storage systems in lightweight electric vehicles and their role in distributing the power drawn between the battery and supercapacitor in a way that ensures isolation of large and sudden loads from the battery, which leads to achieving higher efficiency and longer lifespan, in addition to benefiting from regenerative braking to utilize the energy generated from it, thereby increasing the source efficiency\u201d<br \/>\nThe thesis discusses \u201cDesign and Analysis of Electric Drivetrain System by Integrating Brushless DC Motor (BLDC) Technology with Hysteresis Control and Hybrid Energy Storage System Architecture as an Effective Solution for Lightweight Electric Vehicles\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The results showed \u201cThe supercapacitor achieved about 0.8% state of charge in two seconds, while the battery achieved only 0.035% under the same conditions.
