As part of College of Engineering\u2019s commitment to excellence, innovation, and community service<\/strong>, and in preparation for participation in Iraqi Science Day 2026<\/strong>, Dean of the College<\/strong>, Asst. Prof. Dr. Omar Mohammed Hamdoon<\/em>, accompanied by the scientific and administrative assistants, met with heads of departments and scientific committees<\/strong> on Monday, October 27, 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The meeting emphasized the college\u2019s commitment to directing graduation projects<\/strong> toward quality, creativity, and sustainability<\/strong>, through selecting projects that address real engineering and environmental challenges<\/strong> and align with Sustainable Development Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Dr. Omar Mohammed Hamdoon <\/em>stressed that graduation projects reflect the college\u2019s academic identity and standards<\/strong>, calling for innovative, applicable, and interdisciplinary projects<\/strong> that serve the community and can be implemented in collaboration with government and industry sectors.<\/p>\n

He announced that the college will support and fund distinguished projects<\/strong> to represent University of Mosul in the University Sustainability Festival<\/strong> and Iraqi Science Day<\/strong>, and that outstanding projects and supervisors<\/strong> will be honored during the Graduation Projects Festival<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Dean expressed his appreciation to faculty and committees for their efforts in strengthening the college\u2019s academic reputation, affirming that collaboration and innovation<\/strong> are key to achieving lasting scientific and societal impact.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
