As part of the scientific activities of College of Engineering at University of Mosul<\/strong>, and in line with its efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals<\/strong>, particularly Goal 4: Quality Education<\/strong>, the Psychological Counseling Unit<\/strong> at the college, in cooperation with the University Psychological Counseling Department<\/strong>, organized a training course<\/strong> titled \u201cCommunication Skills and Positive Influence on New Students to Develop Teaching Staff Competencies\u201d<\/em> for the period from November 2 to November 6, 2025<\/strong>. The course targeted faculty members who teach first-year students at the College of Engineering.<\/p>\n

The course aimed to enhance effective communication skills<\/strong> among faculty members by training them to use clear and impactful communication techniques<\/strong> that ensure effective delivery of educational messages.<\/p>\n

Lectures were delivered by Dr. Abdulaziz Abdulbasit Mohammed<\/strong> (course supervisor and lecturer), Asst. Prof. Dr. Saddam Mohammed Ahmed<\/strong>, and Lecturer Noor Idris Abdulqader<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The program covered topics such as an introduction to effective academic communication<\/strong>, communication tools and influence strategies<\/strong>, building positive motivation<\/strong>, and managing challenges and conflicts<\/strong>, concluding with an assessment test<\/strong> to evaluate participants\u2019 performance.<\/p>\n
