As part of the scientific activities of College of Engineering and its efforts to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), Department of Civil Engineering, in cooperation with the Studies and Planning Department \/ Sustainable Development Unit at the University Presidency, is organizing a training course titled \u201cThe Impact of Architectural Project Design Methods on Soil Test Outputs for Civil Engineers\u201d<\/em> from November 30 to December 4, 2025.
The course targets faculty members, engineers, and postgraduate students in the College of Engineering.<\/p>\n

The course highlights the complementary relationship between civil and architectural engineering in designing modern buildings, featuring global examples where geological site conditions inspired innovative architectural solutions.<\/p>\n

Lecturers include Assistant Professor Dr. Abdulrahman Hani Taha (course supervisor), Lecturer Noha Hameedi Jasim, Assistant Lecturer Shahad Nazem Sheet, Assistant Lecturer Roweida Saleh Khalaf, and Assistant Lecturer Eyad Waleed Jalal.<\/p>\n

The program covers soil\u2013architecture interaction, soil types and properties, integrating natural site conditions into design concepts, and cooperation mechanisms between civil and architectural engineers during design and construction. Participants will undergo a final evaluation exam.<\/p>\n
