{"id":42558,"date":"2026-07-07T09:16:32","date_gmt":"2026-07-07T09:16:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uomosul.edu.iq\/en\/engineering\/?p=42558"},"modified":"2026-07-14T09:18:24","modified_gmt":"2026-07-14T09:18:24","slug":"42558","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uomosul.edu.iq\/en\/engineering\/2026\/07\/07\/42558\/","title":{"rendered":"Faculty Member Publishes Research in Scopus and Clarivate-Indexed Journal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"95\" data-end=\"702\">As part of College of Engineering&#8217;s commitment to advancing the <strong data-start=\"163\" data-end=\"203\">Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)<\/strong>\u2014particularly <strong data-start=\"217\" data-end=\"241\">Goal 2 (Zero Hunger)<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"246\" data-end=\"285\">Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation)<\/strong> through promoting water and agricultural sustainability, <strong data-start=\"343\" data-end=\"395\">Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure)<\/strong> by fostering scientific innovation, and <strong data-start=\"436\" data-end=\"464\">Goal 13 (Climate Action)<\/strong> by addressing the challenges of climate change\u2014<strong data-start=\"512\" data-end=\"557\">Lecturer Dr. Ahmed Ali Mohammed Al-Akeedi<\/strong> of the Department of Dams and Water Resources Engineering, College of Engineering, University of Mosul, has published a research paper entitled <strong data-start=\"704\" data-end=\"804\">&#8220;Simplification of FAO-56 Penman-Monteith Procedure for Estimating Reference Evapotranspiration&#8221;.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"806\" data-end=\"968\">The paper was published in the <strong data-start=\"837\" data-end=\"877\">Journal of Water Management Modeling<\/strong>, a peer-reviewed journal indexed in <strong data-start=\"914\" data-end=\"929\">Scopus (Q3)<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"934\" data-end=\"967\">Clarivate Web of Science (Q4)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"970\" data-end=\"1425\">The research presents a simplified version of the internationally recognized <strong data-start=\"1047\" data-end=\"1082\">FAO-56 Penman\u2013Monteith equation<\/strong>, a widely used yet computationally complex method for estimating <strong data-start=\"1148\" data-end=\"1186\">reference evapotranspiration (ETo)<\/strong>.
