Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Environmental Sciences, Dr. Yusra Majeed Al-Shaker, and under the supervision of the Head of the Department of Environmental Health, Assistant Professor Dr. Rahab Abdul-Jabbar Hamid, the Department of Environmental Health held a seminar entitled (A biochemical study of the hormone osteocalcin and its relationship to diabetes) presented by the lecturer Dr. Liqa Saeed, a lecturer in the Department of Environmental Health at our college, today, Tuesday, November 26, 2024.<\/p>\n

The lecture included an explanation of the cells responsible for producing the hormone osteocalcin into the blood and its various functions and how the hormone affects them.<\/p>\n

The lecture aimed to clarify the relationship of the hormone osteocalcin to diabetes, in addition to its relationship to metabolic diseases.<\/p>\n
