Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Yusra Majeed Al-Shaker, Dean of the College of Environmental Sciences, the College of Environmental Sciences \/ Department of Environmental Health, in cooperation with Al-Noor Private University and the Department of Studies and Planning \/ Sustainable Development Unit in the Presidency of the University of Mosul, is holding a scientific symposium entitled “Human Right to a Sustainable Healthy Environment”, for the period from March 19-20, 2025 in the Scientific and Literary Forum Hall at our university.<\/p>\n
Symposium topics:
\n1. The legal and legitimate framework for the human right to live in a safe and healthy environment.
\n2. Sustainable environmental management for a healthy environment.<\/p>\n
Symposium objectives:
\n1. Activating the role of the state in implementing environmental laws to ensure a safe environment for citizens.
\n2. Encouraging the service effort of Nineveh Governorate in achieving the third goal of sustainable development (to ensure a healthy life and promote well-being for all at all ages).
\n3. Enhancing citizen awareness in bearing responsibility for preserving the environment.<\/p>\n
4. Applying the role of health control in supervising all facilities related to human health.<\/p>\n
5. Spreading environmental health culture among children in kindergartens, schools and universities.<\/p>\n
