Under the guidance of the Dean of the College of Environmental Sciences, Professor Dr. Muthanna Jassim Al-Tai, a group of faculty members from our college conducted a field visit to Basma Al-Tufula School.<\/p>\n
The visit included awareness lectures addressing the importance of environmental conservation and contemporary environmental issues such as pollution and waste management. In addition, informational stickers were distributed, containing simple messages about sound environmental practices at school and at home. An interactive dialogue was also held with the students, answering their questions and providing simplified practical examples of water and energy conservation and waste reduction. The visit aimed to promote environmental awareness among early-stage students, reinforce positive behaviors, and cultivate a sense of environmental responsibility in the younger generation. Furthermore, it sought to strengthen the university’s relationship with the local community, highlight the role of the College of Environmental Sciences in community service and environmental protection, and encourage schools to adopt sustainable environmental activities within their educational institutions. The visit contributed to achieving six Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 4, 11, 12, 13, 15, and 17).<\/p>\n
