<\/p>\nOn the second day of the proceedings of the first international conference of Knowledge University in Erbil in cooperation with Arjaa organisation and International Association of Universities and under the title (International Conference on Environment and Energy Development) ICEED, our center continued its active participation in the conference through the researcher, Dr. Engineer Riyad Mahmood Saleh, a senior researcher at our center, for his research titled (Wheat field Fires and its contribution to Climatic Change, status study – Ninevah Governorate) in which he addressed the issue of wheat field fires before and after harvest and the extent of their economic and environmental impact on local and global regions. The results concluded that burning crops clearly contributes to increasing the manifestations of desertification in nearby areas and rising levels of emissions. Invasive and particulates locally and internationally. The study recommended several measures that contribute to controlling fires with minimal losses. As for climate change, the study revealed the need for more climate data to link minor changes to fires occurring over the past decades and to come up with equations that govern the relationship between various climate indicators and the size of fires occurring over the past years.
\nThe research received interaction from the attendees and agreement on the importance of the topic and the necessity of dealing seriously with the research outcomes.<\/p>\n
