Dr. Saba Khairuddin Al-Taie (Director of the Environmental Research Center) participated in the Climate Change Conference held in Baku, Azerbaijan (COP29) under the auspices of the United Nations, where Mr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, President of the Republic of Iraq, inaugurated the Iraqi pavilion at (conference of participants COP29) in the presence of Mr. Minister of Health Saleh Mahdi Al-Hasnawi (Acting Minister of Environment) and His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Fuad Muhammad Hussein and a number of undersecretaries of ministries and representatives of the Iraqi parliament and advisors and the head of the UNDB mission in Iraq.
\nThe conference aims to consolidate consensus on achieving an organized, responsible, fair, logical and realistic transition in the energy sector, and to set goals to triple the global production capacity of renewable energy sources, double energy efficiency and reduce deforestation by 2030 .<\/p>\n
