The Environmental Research Center at the University of Mosul organized a seminar titled “Natural Phenomena in Large Water Bodies” on Tuesday, March 18, 2025.<\/p>\n

The lecture was delivered by Assistant Professor Taha Ahmed Al-Tayyar, Head of the Environmental Information Systems Department.<\/p>\n

The seminar addressed negative natural phenomena affecting large lakes and reservoirs, such as the Mosul Dam Lake.<\/p>\n

The lecture addressed the phenomenon of thermal and chemical stratification and nutrient cycling within water bodies, and their impact on water quality and the surrounding environment.<\/p>\n

The seminar aimed to reduce the environmental problems resulting from these phenomena and limit their negative impacts on water quality and the local environment in general, and water quality\u00a0in\u00a0particular<\/p>\n
