Research Center at the University of Mosul held a seminar entitled \u201cRemoving Dissolved Salts from Water Using Sustainable and Modern Methods \u2013 Electric Filters for Reducing Water Salts\u201d on Tuesday, November 25, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The lecture was presented by Assistant Professor Taha Ahmed Al-Tayyar.<\/p>\n<p>The lecture addressed modern methods for removing dissolved salts from surface and groundwater, utilizing electricity as the power source for several technologies to eliminate dissolved salts.<\/p>\n<p>It discussed the technologies used to reduce water salts, highlighting their advantages and disadvantages, such as reverse osmosis, ion electrolysis, reverse osmosis, and capacitive desalination.<\/p>\n<p>These efforts align with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly
