The Women\u2019s Affairs Unit, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Fine Arts, organized a lecture titled “The Role of Women in Contemporary Arts and Men’s Support for Them”<\/i> on Monday, December 29, 2025. The event was attended by the Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs and a number of college staff members.<\/b><\/p>\n

The lecture was delivered by Prof. Dr. Mayada Majeed Al-Bajalan, Head of the Women\u2019s Affairs Unit, and Assistant Lecturer Younis Mohammed Younis from the Nineveh Directorate of Education. It aimed to highlight the role of women as an essential agent in shaping and directing artistic discourse, as well as her pivotal role in various fields of contemporary arts. It also emphasized her capacity for creativity, innovation, and contribution to addressing human and societal issues, aligned with achieving the 5th Sustainable Development Goal (SDG 5): Gender Equality.<\/b><\/p>\n
