Technology Incubator and Ecosystem Division

The activities of the “GIS for Engineers” training course ended today, Thursday, August 7, 2025, at the University of Mosul. The course was held over five days with the participation of a number of students and graduates from the College of Engineering.

Organized by the Technology Incubator and Ecosystem Division, in collaboration with the Career Development, Employment, and Follow-up Division, and under the direct supervision of the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, the course aimed to strengthen participants’ skills in using GIS tools and their applications in engineering fields.

The program featured theoretical lectures and practical applications using ArcGIS Pro software, covering topics such as digital map concepts, types of spatial data, spatial analysis methods, as well as engineering drawing tools and topographic data processing.

At the conclusion of the course, certificates of participation were distributed to the trainees, accompanied by praise for the efforts made in organizing the activity and for delivering comprehensive scientific and practical content.
