Within the framework of the University of Mosul’s directives towards achieving academic institutional accreditation standards and upgrading academic and research services, the Director General of the University of Mosul Libraries Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Jasim chaired a meeting with the group working on Koha System to computerize the Central Library resources. The challenges facing the application of the system and the possible solutions to enhance its efficiency were discussed.
\nThe Koha system is used at the Central Library to organize and manage resources effectively, thereby improving the experience of library users by facilitating searches and retrievals.
\nThe meeting included discussions on development mechanisms and the possibility of improving performance, while emphasizing the importance of continuous evaluation of the level of automated cataloging to ensure its accuracy and avoid errors, thus ensuring the provision of accurate bibliographic data that supports the requirements of users and enhances the quality of library services. The need to follow up on the implementation of the system in the branch libraries in the university\u2019s colleges and centers was also emphasized to achieve integration between all libraries, which contributes to enhancing the scientific research environment and providing advanced library services that meet the needs of students and researchers.<\/p>\n
