The honorable President of the Mosul University, ProfessorDr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahim visited the Central Library Pavilion as part of the activities of the Sustainable University Week, where His Excellency was briefed on the most prominent scientific and knowledge sources and qualitative efforts provided by the library in the field of promoting sustainable development.<\/p>\n
The activities of the Sustainable University Week witnessed the active participation of the Central Library in the Sustainable Development Exhibition held by the university, where the library reviewed its most significant scientific and knowledge resources related to sustainable development and available to researchers and students, as part of its support for the academic and research process.<\/p>\n
The participation included a visual presentation on the library’s partnerships with the most famous international databases, including the British Council Digital Library, the JSTOR and Research4Life platforms, which contributes to providing solid scientific resources that serve researchers in various specializations.<\/p>\n
The library also displayed some of its efforts in preserving and restoring rare sources, archiving them digitally, and uploading them to the digital repository to preserve the scientific and cultural heritage and make it available to future generations.<\/p>\n
On the sidelines of the exhibition, the Director the Central Library, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Jassim Mohammed, and Assistant lecturer Shatha Ahmed Dahnoon delivered a lecture entitled “The Role of University Libraries in Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals”, during which they highlighted the most prominent achievements of the Central Library and its initiatives supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, underscoring\u00a0 the importance of university libraries as centers of knowledge, innovation and community development.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
