Prof. Dr. Kossay Al-Ahmady, President, University of Mosul, had several meetings in the UK, including many UK universities and institutions, as part of his efforts to consolidate the cooperation and international support of the University of Mosul in various fields after the destruction caused by Daesh, and restore the Central Library in a contemporary way to serve the community. Mr. President of Mosul University began his tour by making an important speech at the Royal British Institute of International Relations (Chatham House) in The British Capital of London. Mr. President also visited the office of Zaha Hadid, Bradford University, Book Aid International and the University of Liverpool. He met with the representatives of McCormick Research Center in Newcastle, a number of officials at the University of Newcastle and the representatives Al-Nahrain Network that belongs to the University College of London to establish partnerships and benefit from scientific and academic programmers. He also met with some of the British and international journalists. During his visits, the University President presented shields that symbolize the magnitude of terrorism affected the Central Library and that was a message to enhance the cooperation to raise awareness and prevent terrorism.
