Vision:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our aim in the department of obstetrics & gynecology is to make our students in the (4th<\/sup>, 5th<\/sup>, 6th<\/sup> stages) able to apply the basic principles of obstetrics & gynecology, as well as being familiar with surgical operations, and to solve primary health problems at minimum during their work in hospital as students.<\/p>\n

Mission:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our mission is to make our students in College of Medicine \\ University of Mosul able to understand health problems related to pregnancy during their work in hospital wards as fourth grade students and some problems related to gynecological diseases during their 5th<\/sup> year study in educational hospitals, in the 6th<\/sup> years the students should be familiar with obstetric health problems in the labor & delivery room, the emergency room, & theatre; in order to develop intellectual , behavioral skills to understand & actively participate in solving health problems.<\/p>\n

Goals: <\/strong><\/p>\n

The academic & clinical program of the Obstetrics & Gynecology department is to give the primary study students in the 4th<\/sup>, 5th<\/sup> year a cognitive components of different topics in the\u00a0 obstetrics & gynecology, for the 6th<\/sup> grade the curriculum consist of working in the educational hospitals where they learn about gynecological disease & pregnancy related problems, during their work in the hospital wards they are also allowed to enter labor room , emergency room & operating theatre , to observe emergency cases & operations, students also attend the primary care centers to learn about antenatal care, given text book on an important topics in addition to other scientific activities , their work in the 6th<\/sup> grade qualifies them to take the final exam & to practice medicine during their periodic residency, in accordance with the quality assurance standards of the College of Medicine \\University of Mosul.<\/p>\n
