Giving theoretical and practical lectures to third year medical students in order to prepare competent doctors<\/p>\n

Department objectives<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

Giving important theoretical and practical information to third year medical students with emphasis on recent developments in this field.<\/p>\n

Holding scientific seminars on the latest developments in the field of clinical pharmacology.<\/p>\n

Conducting scientific research in the field of clinical pharmacology.<\/p>\n

Community service through the work of the academic teaching staff<\/p>\n

Supervision and training for postgraduate students in master’s and doctoral degrees<\/p>\n

Department of Pharmacology<\/strong><\/p>\n

The department of pharmacology was a division affiliated to the department of internal medicine since the establishment of the college, then a university order was issued to establish the department as a separate entity on its own right in early 1982. The branch includes a number of teaching staff, teaching assistants, master’s and doctoral students, and technical staff.<\/p>\n

The department holds annual seminars discussing what is new in clinical pharmacology, in the presence of a number of medical specialists, doctors and pharmacists. The department also carries out daily scientific activities, journal club, and some lectures to postgraduate students.<\/p>\n
