During the visit, in-kind gifts were presented to the patients followed by a discussion with the students on the symptoms of thalassemic patients, complications resulting from the disease and how to treat them. The visit also dealt with a simplified explanation for the students on the ELISA device and the CBC device affiliated with the Thalassemia Laboratory in the hospital.
