Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Kusay Kamaluddin Al-Ahmadi, President of the University of Mosul, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Basil Saeed, Dean of the College of Medicine, the College of Medicine hosted a scientific symposium titled “Surgery: A Science That Evolves and an Art That Elevates.” Dr. Mohammed Suleiman Al-Houri, Head of the Physicians Syndicate, and Dr. Mudher Saad Al-Din Barhan Al-Omari, Director of Al-Salam Teaching Hospital, attended the event.
\nThe symposium on Monday, September 16, 2024, at the Scientific Forum Hall of the University of Mosul addressed key topics in modern surgical practice. Discussions focused on cutting-edge developments in injury treatment, innovative techniques to improve outcomes in flatfoot surgery, new approaches to managing vocal cord injury complications after thyroid surgery, anesthesia principles in open-heart surgeries, bladder paralysis management post-surgery, and recent advancements in neurological surgery and trauma.<\/p>\n
