Chess Championship at the College of Medicine for Students
\nUnder the patronage and presence of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Basil SAEED, and in the presence of the vice dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Dr. Karam Turath , the Student Activities Unit at the College of Medicine organized the college’s chess championship for students on Monday, October 7, 2024. The competition was held in the building of the scientific departments according to the knockout system, with the participation of 20 students from all academic years.
\nThe results for the male students were as follows:
\n\u2022\t1st place: Fahd Mohammed (sixth-year)
\n\u2022\t2nd place: Ahmed Azher (fifth-year)
\n\u2022\t3rd place: Ali Ihsan (sixth-year).
\nFor the female students:
\n\u2022\t1st place: Zahraa Jasim Ibrahim (fifth-year)
\n\u2022\t2nd place: Zubeida Iyad Saeed (fifth-year)
\n\u2022\t3rd place: Raqia Firas (third-year).
\nAt the end of the championship, the Dean and the Vice dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs distributed prizes to the top three winners. Congratulations to the winners and better luck to all participants.<\/p>\n
