\nUnder the patronage of the President of Mosul University, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi,and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Assistant Professor Dr. Humam Ghanim Ibraahim, the College of Medicine at Mosul University – Biochemistry department held its annual scientific symposium on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, titled “The Role of Biochemistry in Understanding and Diagnosing Diseases”.<\/p>\n

*Symposium Topics*
\nThe symposium included four diverse scientific lectures, presented by the department’s faculty members, covering various topics in the field of biochemistry and its medical applications:<\/p>\n

1. *The Role of Natriuretic Peptide and Lipid Parameters in Evaluating the Severity of Coronary Artery Disease*: Presented by Dr. Raghad Khalil.
\n2. *Ketone Bodies*: Presented by Dr. Saba Khairy.
\n3. *Essential Elements and Their Role in Health and Nutrition*: Presented by Dr. Intisar Ahmed Sulaiman.
\n4. *Heavy Metal Toxicity and Its Impact on Living Organisms*: Presented by Dr. Shayma Moysir Nayef.<\/p>\n
