University of Mosul Medical Students Participate in International French Language Development Course<\/strong>
\nThree medical students from the University of Mosul, Noor Omar Badr, Maab Malath Fadhel, and Sara Nabeel Sabaih, who are in their fifth stage, participated in a specialized training course to develop their French language skills at the CAVILAM institute in Vichy, France, from August 4 to 14, 2025. This participation is part of the French summer scholarship program offered by the Cooperation and Cultural Activities Department at the French Embassy in Baghdad, specifically designed for students who have obtained the DELF diploma (level B1).<\/p>\n

Objectives and Outcomes
\nThe training aimed to enhance the students’ French language proficiency, contributing to their academic and professional development. Upon their return to Mosul, the students were welcomed by the Dean of the College, Dr. Humam Ghanim Ibraahim, and the Vice Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Dr. Karam Turath Tofig Agha. The Dean praised their efforts and encouraged them to continue developing their academic and linguistic skills.<\/p>\n

Significance and Impact
\nThis scholarship is the first of its kind offered to medical students in Iraq, marking a significant step in promoting the French language in scientific research and medical education. The success of this initiative is attributed to the efforts of the French-Iraqi Cultural Institute, which has been instrumental in organizing DELF exams and hosting the first Francophone medical forum.
\nWhich paved the way for many medical students to join these courses and achieve high competitive results that qualified them for international scholarship programs.
