\nProf. Dr. Amer Abdullah Al-Jumaili, a lecturer at the Mosul Studies Center, held a discussion session entitled \u201cReviving Mosul Heritage Post-Conflict in Nineveh\u201d in cooperation with the Nineveh Governorate Diwan, Research and Development Department, on Tuesday 8\/12\/2025 at 6:00 PM in the hall of the Mosul Heritage Foundation (Beit Al-Rahim). Al-Jumaili emphasized in a proposal he submitted to the envoy of the Governor of Nineveh, Engineer Fazaa Al-Shammari, Director of the Research and Development Department at the Nineveh Governorate Diwan, the importance of documenting the origins of artistic and architectural elements, styles, historical, archaeological and heritage methods of religious, service, defensive and residential buildings in the process of rehabilitating archaeological and heritage sites in the post-conflict phase, in order to preserve the spirit and fabric of the monument, place and its identity, without neglecting the intangible heritage through the reconstruction of folk heritage museums inside Mosul and in the Nineveh Plain areas that were also exposed to destruction during periods of conflict. He suggested creating an audio library that documents the Mosul dialect and heritage and reviving some Extinct professions and crafts, some of which are on the verge of extinction, contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4: Quality education through the integration of heritage into curricula and educational activities to enhance identity and cultural awareness. Goal 8: Decent work and economic growth through the revitalization of cultural tourism and handicrafts, as well as Goal 11 of the Sustainable Development Goals: Sustainable cities and communities. This includes protecting cultural and natural heritage and ensuring its sustainability for future generations, while strengthening cultural identity and the local economy through tourism and heritage.<\/p>\n
