Mosul Studies Center Participates in a Workshop at the Central Library, University of Mosul<\/p>\n

As part of the Mosul Studies Center’s efforts, represented by its Director, Dr. Mohammed Nizar Al-Dabbagh, to encourage staff participation in specialized cultural activities that serve the field of work, Ms. Shahd Waadallah Yassin, the Center’s librarian, participated in a workshop organized by the Central Library, University of Mosul, Continuing Education Division, under the supervision of the Secretary General of University of Mosul Libraries, Dr. Mohammed Jassim Mohammed, in cooperation with the Studies and Planning Department, Sustainable Development Unit, University of Mosul Presidency. The workshop, titled “The Role of Information Technology in Reducing Administrative Corruption,” was presented by Dr. Ahmed Younis Mohammed Al-Sabaawi on Monday, December 8, 2025, at the Central Library building.<\/p>\n

The workshop aimed to demonstrate the impact of using information technology in combating administrative corruption through:<\/p>\n

1. Enhancing Transparency: Electronic systems contribute to making procedures clear to everyone. Furthermore, publishing information such as tenders, appointments, and transactions on websites prevents manipulation and reduces ambiguity. 2. Reducing direct contact between employees and clients: By shifting to electronic services, which minimizes direct interaction, the likelihood of bribery or extortion of citizens decreases.<\/p>\n

3. Documenting all transactions: Every step is recorded in digital systems, making it difficult to conceal errors or alter technological data. This simplifies transactions and eliminates opportunities for extortion or delays.<\/p>\n

4. Protecting data and preventing manipulation: This is achieved through a set of electronic databases that prevent unauthorized deletion and modification.<\/p>\n
