In implementation of the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research\/Department of Media and Government Communication<\/p>\n

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul<\/p>\n

And under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Nizar Al-Dabbagh, Director of the Mosul Studies Center<\/p>\n

The Mosul Studies Center, in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning – Sustainable Development Unit\/Presidency of the University of Mosul, held a workshop entitled:<\/p>\n

Family Values \u200b\u200bin the Holy Quran in Light of Contemporary Social Changes<\/p>\n

The workshop was presented by: Professor Dr. Maha Saeed Hameed\/Mosul Studies Center<\/p>\n

The workshop was managed by: Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Nizar Al-Dabbagh\/Director of the Mosul Studies Center<\/p>\n

This took place at 10:00 AM on Monday, January 19, 2026, at the Mosul Studies Center building. This workshop aims to highlight the importance of family values \u200b\u200bin the Holy Quran and explain their role in building a cohesive family based on love, compassion, and justice, as well as how to address contemporary challenges and preserve the cultural and intellectual identity of society.<\/p>\n

The workshop’s significance stems from its role as a foundation for social and educational stability, contributing to strengthening bonds between family members, protecting children from deviant behavior, and showcasing the Holy Quran’s role in guiding individual and social conduct towards a balance between the demands of the modern age and religious principles.<\/p>\n

The workshop included an introduction and two sessions. The first session addressed family values \u200b\u200bin the Holy Quran, most notably honoring parents, affection and mercy between spouses, proper upbringing of children, justice and equality, and family cooperation and solidarity. The second session discussed contemporary social changes such as technological advancements, cultural openness, and changing lifestyles, and how family values \u200b\u200bcan adapt to these changes in a way that achieves the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goals 1, 3, 4, 5, 10, and 16.<\/p>\n
