Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul,<\/p>\n

and the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Nizar Al-Dabbagh, Director of the Mosul Studies Center,<\/p>\n

The Mosul Studies Center, in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning – Sustainable Development Unit \/ University of Mosul Presidency, and as part of the Sustainable Development activities for the second quarter of the 2025-2026 academic year, held<\/p>\n

a workshop entitled:<\/p>\n

How to Publish in Scopus-Indexed Journals in the Humanities<\/p>\n

The workshop was presented by: Mr. Suhaib Mahmoud Khader \/ Mosul Studies Center<\/p>\n

The workshop was managed by: Assistant Professor Dr. Hanaa Jassim Mohammed \/ Mosul Studies Center<\/p>\n

This took place at 10:00 AM on Sunday, February 1, 2026, in the Mosul Studies Center building. The aim of this workshop, designed for faculty members, was in line with the university’s directives to promote international publishing within Scopus-indexed journals. It comprised several sections:<\/p>\n

1. Introduction to the Scopus database<\/p>\n

2. Familiarizing researchers with the process of searching for reputable scientific journals in the field of humanities<\/p>\n

4. Methods for selecting high-ranking journals (Q1 and Q2)<\/p>\n

5. How to access a journal and initiate correspondence with it<\/p>\n

6. Choosing the appropriate format for the abstract and keywords for the research<\/p>\n

7. Research publication format and methods.<\/p>\n

This aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goals 4, 5, 9, and 16.<\/p>\n
