The Mosul Studies Center concludes a training course in cooperation with the College of Arts, Department of History, entitled “Supporting Youth Employment”<\/p>\n

Director of the Mosul Studies Center<\/p>\n

In cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning – Sustainable Development Unit\/Presidency of the University of Mosul and the College of Arts – Department of History, the Center held the training course entitled: “Challenges of Finding Decent Work for Youth: Reality and Aspirations”<\/p>\n

\nAssistant Professor Dr. Hanaa Jassim Mohammed\/Mosul Studies Center
\nThe course was managed by: Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Saleh Saeed\/Head of the Department of History – College of Arts
\nFor the period between April 26-28, 2026, in Hall 5, Department of History, College of Arts. The training course featured research papers that focused on the concept of decent work, its components, the difference between decent and undecent work, the realities of the labor market for young people, the relationship between decent work and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the challenges facing youth\u2014whether economic, social, or political\u2014and how to address and overcome them. The course also covered the role of the state and society in supporting decent work for youth through policies, programs, and strategies, and presented the experiences of some international and Arab countries in achieving and creating decent work for young people, thus contributing to the SDGs, particularly Goals 1, 4, 5, 8, 10, and 17.<\/p>\n
