The Mosul Studies Center attends the central celebration of the University of Mosul’s 59th anniversary.<\/p>\n

As part of the Mosul Studies Center’s efforts to participate in the cultural events of the 2026 Sustainable University Week and University Day celebrations, Dr. Mohammed Nizar Al-Dabbagh, Director of the Mosul Studies Center, attended the central University Day celebration held in Dr. Mahmoud Al-Jalili Hall on Wednesday at 6:00 PM. The festival program began with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by the national anthem and a minute of silence in remembrance of the martyrs of Iraq. This was followed by a speech from the President of the University of Mosul, Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, who welcomed the guests, official delegations, dignitaries, and presidents of public and private universities. He highlighted the University of Mosul’s role in digital transformation, its focus on developing infrastructure, opening modern laboratories, and its commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and global dissemination. A speech was then delivered by the Governor of Nineveh, Mr. Abdul Qader Al-Dakhil. The ceremony concluded with the screening of a documentary film, “Idea and Story,” produced by the University President, about Mulla Othman Al-Mawsili, a figure who left his musical and religious mark not only in Mosul but throughout the Arab world. The event was attended by numerous official and governmental figures, security leaders, and heads of departments. Representatives from public and private universities, members of the university council, media professionals, and a large gathering of university professors and students participated in an event aimed at achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goals 4 and 11.<\/p>\n
