The Mosul Studies Center concludes a continuing education course on the importance of Islamic history books in documenting and studying the history of Mosul.<\/p>\n

\nProfessor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi,
\nPresident of the University of Mosul,
\nand the supervision of
\nAssistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Nizar Al-Dabbagh,
\nDirector of the Mosul Studies Center,
\nand in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning – Sustainable Development Unit, University of Mosul Presidency, the Continuing Education Committee at the Mosul Studies Center, under the supervision of the Committee Chairman, Assistant Professor Dr. Suhaib Hazem Al-Ghadhanfari, held a continuing education course entitled: \u201cThe Importance of Islamic History Books in Studying the History of Mosul.\u201d<\/p>\n

The course was presented by Professor Dr. Huda Yassin Al-Dabbagh and Assistant Professor Dr. Hanan Abdul-Khaliq, both from the Mosul Studies Center, and was moderated by Assistant Professor Dr. Suhaib Hazem Al-Ghadhanfari, also from the Mosul Studies Center.<\/p>\n

The course took place over two days, Sunday and Monday, May 17-18, 2026, in the discussion hall of the Sports Sciences Branch, College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences. The course aimed to\u2026 This course aims to highlight the importance of Islamic history books and their role in studying the history of Mosul, particularly concerning the city’s political, administrative, economic, and social conditions, as documented in historical texts. The course’s significance lies in its focus on key historical sources that address Mosul’s history, introducing them and their advanced content, thus contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals, especially Goals 4, 11, and 16.<\/p>\n
