The Mosul Studies Center is holding a workshop on the reality of peaceful coexistence in Iraq.<\/p>\n

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Nizar Al-Dabbagh, Director of the Mosul Studies Center, and in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning – Sustainable Development Unit\/Presidency of the University of Mosul, the Center held a workshop entitled: (The Reality of Peaceful Coexistence in Iraq after 2003). The workshop was presented by Dr. Kamal Ashour Khadr and managed by Dr. Hanaa Jassim Muhammad. The workshop aimed to highlight the reality of peaceful coexistence in Iraq after 2003, and to demonstrate its importance in achieving political and social stability and strengthening national unity in light of the religious, ethnic and sectarian diversity that characterizes Iraqi society. The workshop also sought to clarify the role of the Iraqi government in consolidating the values \u200b\u200bof social peace through supporting security, national reconciliation and the reconstruction of affected areas, and to demonstrate the contributions of religious authorities, tribes and civil society organizations in spreading the values \u200b\u200bof tolerance, resolving conflicts and strengthening social cohesion, as well as highlighting the role of educational institutions and media in instilling a culture of citizenship, acceptance of others and rejection of hate speech and extremism. Through these axes, and by raising awareness of the importance of peaceful coexistence and encouraging dialogue and cooperation among the various components of Iraqi society, the aim is to contribute to building a cohesive society characterized by security and stability, and to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goals 4, 10, and 12.<\/p>\n
