In the presence of Professor Dr. Nashaat Mubarak Sliwa, President of Al-Hamdaniya University, Assistant Professor Dr.Tahsein Muhsin Hussein, Dean of the College of Nursing at the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Radwan Hussein Ibrahim, Dean of the College of Nursing at the University of Nineveh, and Lecturer Dr. Saad Hussein Murad, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Students, and Postgraduate Studies at the College of Nursing\/University of Mosul, as well as a group of faculty members and postgraduate students, a master\u2019s thesis defense was held on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at the discussion hall of the College of Nursing, University of Mosul.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The thesis, presented by Ghadraa Kamal Noah, was entitled: \u201cPerceived Barriers and Benefits of Spinal Anesthesia Among Pregnant Women in Teaching Maternity Hospitals.\u201d The study explored various aspects of women\u2019s experiences with spinal anesthesia during childbirth, focusing on the challenges they face and the benefits they perceive from this type of anesthesia.<\/p>\n

The examination committee was chaired by Professor Dr. Salwa Hazem Gailan, and included the following members:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Assistant Professor Dr. Suhaila Mohammed Ali \u2013 College of Nursing, University of Kirkuk<\/p>\n

\u2022 Lecturer Dr. Asmaa Abdulrazzaq Mohammed \u2013 College of Medicine, University of Mosul<\/p>\n

\u2022 Assistant Professor Yamama Zuhair Abdulkarim Ibrahim \u2013 College of Nursing, University of Mosul (Member and Supervisor)<\/p>\n

The committee commended the student\u2019s efforts and the significance of the thesis topic, emphasizing its direct relevance to improving healthcare services for pregnant women.
