In the presence of the Dean of the College of Nursing, Assistant Professor Dr. Tahseen Mohsen Hussein, and the Dean of the College of Nursing at the University of Nineveh, Professor Dr. Radwan Hussein Ibrahim, the master\u2019s thesis defense of student Mohammed Saleh Manour was held on Monday, June 23, 2025. His thesis is entitled:
\n\u201cThe Effectiveness of an Educational Program Based on the Theory of Planned Behavior in Enhancing Nurses\u2019 Behaviors in Dealing with Communicable Diseases.\u201d<\/p>\n

The research aims to develop nurses\u2019 professional behaviors by applying an educational program grounded in the Theory of Planned Behavior, enhancing their ability to effectively handle communicable diseases and reduce their spread within healthcare institutions.
\nIt also seeks to increase nurses\u2019 awareness of preventive practices, motivate them to adhere to standard infection control procedures, and strengthen their positive attitudes toward adopting healthy behaviors.
\nAdditionally, the study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of behavior-based educational programs in improving practical performance within clinical settings.<\/p>\n

The defense committee was chaired by Assistant Professor Dr. Abdullah Saleh Kmit from University of Kirkuk \/ College of Nursing, and included the following members:
\n\u2022 Assistant Professor Dr. Mahmoud Mohammed Ahmed \u2013 College of Nursing \/ University of Mosul
\n\u2022 Lecturer Dr. Nawaf Mohammed Dhahir \u2013 College of Nursing \/ University of Mosul<\/p>\n

The committee also included Professor Dr. Nasir Mowafaq Younis from the College of Nursing \/ University of Mosul, who served as a member and supervisor. He played a key role in supervising all stages of the thesis and guiding the student academically.<\/p>\n

The defense session witnessed a rigorous academic discussion and a fruitful exchange of ideas, with the committee offering constructive feedback that contributed to enhancing the quality and outcomes of the research.<\/p>\n

At the conclusion of the session, the student was awarded a Master\u2019s degree in Nursing Sciences after making the recommended revisions by the committee.<\/p>\n

On this occasion, the Deanery of the College of Nursing extends its heartfelt congratulations to the student, Jilan Mohammed Ali, wishing her continued success and excellence in her academic and research journey<\/p>\n
