{"id":38144,"date":"2025-07-31T10:34:54","date_gmt":"2025-07-31T10:34:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uomosul.edu.iq\/en\/nursing\/?p=38144"},"modified":"2025-07-31T10:34:54","modified_gmt":"2025-07-31T10:34:54","slug":"masters-thesis-defense-at-the-college-of-nursing-university-of-mosul-on-the-factors-affecting-perceived-work-life-balance-among-nurses-a-cross-sectional-study-in-mosul-city-hospitals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uomosul.edu.iq\/en\/nursing\/2025\/07\/31\/masters-thesis-defense-at-the-college-of-nursing-university-of-mosul-on-the-factors-affecting-perceived-work-life-balance-among-nurses-a-cross-sectional-study-in-mosul-city-hospitals\/","title":{"rendered":"Master\u2019s Thesis Defense at the College of Nursing, University of Mosul on the Factors Affecting Perceived Work-Life Balance Among Nurses: A Cross-Sectional Study in Mosul City Hospitals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"265\" data-end=\"598\">In the presence of the Dean of the College of Nursing at the University of Mosul, Assistant Professor <strong data-start=\"367\" data-end=\"397\">Dr. Tahseen Mohsen Hussein<\/strong>, the master&#8217;s thesis defense of student <strong data-start=\"438\" data-end=\"468\">Ruba Shakir Ghanem Al-Taie<\/strong> was held on the morning of <strong data-start=\"496\" data-end=\"523\">Thursday, July 31, 2025<\/strong>, in the discussion hall of the College of Nursing \/ University of Mosul.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"602\" data-end=\"742\">The thesis is titled:<br data-start=\"623\" data-end=\"626\" \/><strong data-start=\"626\" data-end=\"740\">&#8220;Factors Affecting Perceived Work-Life Balance Among Nurses: A Cross-Sectional Study in Mosul City Hospitals.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"746\" data-end=\"977\">This discussion aligns with the fourth goal of the Sustainable Development Goals (Quality Education), as the study aimed to identify the factors influencing the perceived work-life balance among nurses working in Mosul hospitals.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"981\" data-end=\"1392\">The results revealed that work pressure, number of working hours, and marital status were among the most significant influencing factors.<br data-start=\"1118\" data-end=\"1121\" \/>The study further showed that the majority of nurses suffer from poor work-life balance, with a clear correlation between longer working hours and decreased balance levels. Additionally, schedule flexibility and administrative support were found to improve the balance.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1396\" data-end=\"1459\">The examination committee consisted of the following members:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1460\" data-end=\"1967\">\n<li data-start=\"1460\" data-end=\"1549\">\n<p data-start=\"1462\" data-end=\"1549\"><strong data-start=\"1462\" data-end=\"1494\">Prof. Dr. Ameen Ajeel Yasser<\/strong> \u2013 Chair \/ College of Nursing \u2013 University of Babylon<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1550\" data-end=\"1639\">\n<p data-start=\"1552\" data-end=\"1639\"><strong data-start=\"1552\" data-end=\"1584\">Prof. Dr. Anmar Burhan Saeed<\/strong> \u2013 Member \/ College of Medicine \u2013 University of Mosul<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1640\" data-end=\"1733\">\n<p data-start=\"1642\" data-end=\"1733\"><strong data-start=\"1642\" data-end=\"1679\">Lecturer Dr. Rayan Ibrahim Khalil<\/strong> \u2013 Member \/ College of Nursing \u2013 University of Mosul<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1734\" data-end=\"1964\">\n<p data-start=\"1736\" data-end=\"1964\"><strong data-start=\"1736\" data-end=\"1772\">Prof. Dr. Radwan Hussein Ibrahim<\/strong> \u2013 Member and Supervisor \/ College of Nursing \u2013 University of Nineveh, who played a prominent role in scientifically supervising and guiding the student during the preparation of the thesis.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1968\" data-end=\"2226\">The discussion session was marked by a fruitful scientific dialogue, including a comprehensive review of the research topics and several observations and academic recommendations that contributed to enriching the content and enhancing its academic quality.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2230\" data-end=\"2412\">At the end of the session, the committee decided to award the student <strong data-start=\"2300\" data-end=\"2330\">Ruba Shakir Ghanem Al-Taie<\/strong> a <strong data-start=\"2333\" data-end=\"2372\">Master&#8217;s degree in Nursing Sciences<\/strong>, after making the required revisions.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2416\" data-end=\"2608\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">On this occasion, the Dean\u2019s Office of the College of Nursing extends its warmest congratulations and best wishes to the student for continued success in her academic and
