Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi<\/strong>, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Petroleum and Mining Engineering, Assistant Professor Dr. Ma\u2019n Hassan Abdullah Al-Majid<\/strong>, and in the presence of the Administrative Deputy Dean, department heads, and many faculty members, a workshop entitled \u201cMechanisms of Scientific Publishing and Indexing in Global Databases (Scopus \u2013 Web of Science)\u201d<\/strong> was held on Wednesday morning, 05\/11\/2025<\/strong>, in the Conference Hall.<\/p>\n

The workshop was delivered by Asst. Lecturer Omar Akram Khalil<\/strong>, representing the Electronic Computer Center \u2013 Presidency of the University of Mosul, in cooperation with the Scientific Affairs Division of the college. He explained the mechanisms of indexing research in global databases, the requirements for journal accreditation, and the importance of these processes in enhancing the university\u2019s academic rankings.<\/p>\n

The workshop witnessed active engagement from faculty members and postgraduate students, with discussions focusing on journal selection criteria, common submission mistakes, and strategies to improve the quality of research outputs in a way that strengthens the university\u2019s reputation and research indicators.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
