Prof. Dr. Munif Mahjoob Mohammed<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1vdjlvo\" data-start=\"601\" data-end=\"640\">\n<p data-start=\"603\" data-end=\"640\">Lecturer Dr. Maha Muneeb Al-Dabbagh<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"5897qh\" data-start=\"641\" data-end=\"675\">\n<p data-start=\"643\" data-end=\"675\">Lecturer Dr. Saad Waleed Saadi<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"677\" data-end=\"1137\">The course aimed to highlight the impact of geological heterogeneities in carbonate reservoirs and to clarify the role of structural, depositional, and diagenetic factors in controlling porosity, permeability, and fluid flow behavior within reservoir rocks. It also addressed different heterogeneity scales and types (structural, facies-related, and petrophysical), in addition to reviewing core data, well logs, and seismic data in reservoir characterization.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1139\" data-end=\"1512\">The course included practical numerical examples using simplified simulation models to demonstrate the differences between homogeneous and heterogeneous reservoirs, as well as the impact of sealing faults on pressure distribution and recovery efficiency.
